Be Creative

Today is Dr. Seuss’s birthday, so what better way to celebrate than by doing a fun activity! My oldest daughter is three and loves learning letters and numbers. This is an easy, fun, edible activity your little one can do! We started by reading Dr. Seuss’s “ABC” and “123” books. She loved all of the colors in the books as well!

I found the Dr. Seuss books on Amazon! I think this beginner book collection would be a great purchase as well! I found the wooden tracing boards at Target. These are similar. They also come with a wooden pencil to trace the letters and numbers, but I wanted to use something edible instead! 🙂

The Cap’ N Crunch Oops! All Berries was a perfect cereal choice to fit inside the lines of the letters and numbers. You could use 0.24 inch pom poms if you wanted to do a non-edible version of this activity. But my daughter preferred the edible one! 🙂

Her craft table set and ready to use! I also used a treat cup to put the cereal in, but you could use any container of your choosing.

My daughter would name the color of the cereal and the corresponding letter or number she was working on. I always love when you can mix an activity with learning! This activity also helped with concentration as well!

The finished activity! She really enjoyed seeing the colorful finished product. A few Crunch Berries may have been consumed along the way, too! 😉  I hope your little one enjoys this activity as well!
