Be Creative

St. Patrick’s Day has always been a fun Holiday to celebrate! I mean, who doesn’t love a little bit of luck, right? My daughter loved making these mess-free hearts for Valentine’s Day so we thought it would be fun to make clovers! I’ve provided the FREE printables below!

Directions:

Print clover and bow/eyes on cardstock paper.

Drop different shades of green and white paint onto clover.

Place into a gallon sized Ziploc bag. Fold paper upward (hotdog style) when sliding into bag to prevent paint from getting on edge. Tape down the edges of bag to prevent sliding.

Have your little one push the paint around with their finger or paint brush!

Place different shades of pink and white paint on the bow.

Place into a sandwich sized Ziploc bag and tape the sides down.

Press the paint around!

Pull the paper out of the Ziploc bags before they dry. This will prevent the paint from sticking to the top of the bags and peeling off. Allow them to dry completely. I used a blow dryer to speed up the drying process.

Hold the painted images up to a window or light from behind to see where to cut them out. This is usually only necessary if you used acrylic paint versus Crayola due to the opaqueness of the paint.

Cut out the painted clover, bow and eyelashes (or smiley face).

Glue the bow and eyelashes on top of the clover.

My daughter really loved the look of the completed clovers and that there were two different versions!

I’ve also included three additional printable options that your little one could color with crayons or markers if you don’t have paint on hand! You could also glue pieces of green and pink tissue paper for another fun craft as well!

I hope you enjoy this simple and fun Clover Craft! Follow me on Instagram and let me know if you try it out! 🙂
