School is back in session and these quick and easy mini apple muffins are the perfect after-school treat for your little ones to enjoy! We paired ours with this fun interactive Alphabet book to practice tracing our letters during snack time! I used premade muffins, but you could make your own mini muffins as well.

Directions:

Using the smallest leaf fondant cutter, firmly press the edges of the leaf onto the sour streamer until edges are pushed all the way through the candy.

Press as many leaves as needed and unwrap (or bake) your mini muffins. If you decide to bake your muffins, make sure they are cooled before adding frosting.

Add a thin layer of vanilla frosting to the top of a muffin. Place a small amount of the red sprinkles in a bowl. These bowls are the perfect size!

Place muffin (frosting side down) into sprinkles and press around until the top is evenly coated.

Press your leaf candy on the top 1/3 of the muffin (this will ensure that it has enough room to stick). Break 1/3 of a pretzel stick and push in the upper top edge of the muffin.

That’s it! Super simple mini apple muffins! These would be perfect to serve during the school year or take as a treat for a school function or Fall event!

My oldest daughter also loves this interactive Alphabet book to continue practicing the proper way to write and trace her letters in Kindergarten. I hope everyone has a great school year! Follow me along on Instagram and let me know if you try these!
