Be Creative

We recently started playing with sensory bins and my oldest daughter loves them! They offer hours of creative play for your little ones! You can easily make them with items you already have at home! I’ve listed the items below used to make this simple St. Patrick’s Sensory Bin!

Start with your rectangle storage container.

Place your cookie cutters into the bin and use a spoon to carefully place your Green Peas inside the letters.

Fill in around the cookie cutters with your Northern Beans. Make sure they are placed tight against the outside of the letters.

Carefully remove the cookie cutters by pulling straight up from the beans.

Place fun sensory objects around the bin for your little ones to play with! I always like to include different textures (spiky ball and pom poms) as well as some sort of container for them to fill with the beans and pour.

My daughter loved the fun St. Patrick’s Day colors!

I made this Valentine’s Sensory Bin using the same technique with the cookie cutters but used rice instead of beans! The possibilities are endless! Check out my Instagram REELS for a quick video tutorial of both bins!
