Be Creative

There’s always something magical about a wand! I wanted to continue our star New Years Eve theme by making these mini edible treats for our girls. You’ll be surprised at how easy they are to make!

Materials needed:

Directions (assemble):

Unwrap a Rice Krispies treat. You can also make your own but I think the store bought ones hold together better (and it’s easier)! 😉

Line up your cookie cutter where the Rice Krispie fills the entire shape.

Press down to fill the cookie cutter.

Tear away the extra Rice Krispie with the cookie cutter still in place. This will ensure a smooth edge! The scraps were definitely a bonus to munch on! 😉

Cut out as many stars as needed.

Push your lollipop stick through the bottom of each star until secure. Have your icing and sprinkles ready to decorate as the icing will harden quickly once applied!

Decorate:

Decorate your stars! This is also a fun activity for little ones to help with!

Adorn:

Cut your ribbon to desired length. Mine are 8 inches. I really like this ribbon for added sparkle!

Lay your star wand face down, lay your ribbon underneath the stick, and tie a knot on the back.

Flip over and push ribbon all the way up the the base of the star.

You can make them all the same or different!

My daughter really loved the mini Star wands and how they resembled her bigger ones! Not to mention, they are edible! These would be cute to make as favors for a princess themed party or any fun event! We will be enjoying ours for New Years Eve!
