Be Creative

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate everything we are grateful for! It’s always wonderful to get together with family and friends and gather around the table. Sweet and savory smells fill the house throughout the day as cooking in the kitchen takes place. I have always been a big fan of appetizers and enjoy setting out or bringing a “themed” hors d’oeuvre to the table! These “pumpkin pie” cheese and cracker bites are a super simple appetizer to make for Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving!

Instructions:

Place a cracker towards the edge on top of the cheese block.

Cut out a triangle.

Cut the triangle in half.

Place the cheese triangle you just cut out on top of the block and cut out another triangle.

Trim to be the exact same size. Make sure triangle is a tad smaller than the cracker.

Cut out and divide as many cheese triangles as you need.

Cut the corner off of a sandwich bag and place the star tip inside. Push all the way down until base of tip is at edge of bag.

Place a few scoops of whipped cream cheese in bag (similar to how you would with icing).

Lay a Pita cracker flat.

Place a small amount of cream cheese on cracker.

Place cheese triangle on top and add cream cheese on back of triangle.

Place the Chicken in a Biskit cracker on the back.

Place a small dollop of cream cheese (using star tip) on top.

The completed “pumpkin pie” cheese and crackers!

Cheese and crackers are a great staple appetizer to serve for any celebration. It’s one that both kids and adults love! Making them to match the occasion is even better! 🙂
