Be Creative

We have been loving pastel rainbows! Check out this oversized macrame rainbow I made for our youngest daughter’s first birthday and these mini macrame rainbows! Pastel colors are always so pretty for Easter and Spring so I wanted to make a wreath that we could hang for a few months!

Materials needed:

Directions:

Wrap a color of yarn around your book 25 – 30 times (the more you wrap, the thicker your tassel will be).

Slide the wrapped yarn off of your book.

Cut a piece of yarn and place it behind in the middle.

Tie a knot.

Cut the top of your loops.

And the bottom of your loops.

Repeat this step for all of your colors. I ended up with 6 tassels for each color.

Place the tassel under your wreath with the knot (middle) of tassel slightly more towards the inside of the wreath (as shown above).

Fold the tassel in half (upward).

Take an additional piece of yarn and tie the tassel at the base of the wreath (shown above).

Repeat this step alternating your colors.

You can leave the wreath like this or add the beaded garland (shown below).

Simply hot glue your beaded garland on top of the knots around your wreath. You could also glue the beads along the inside rim of the wreath as well!

I’m planning on hanging this on our front door for Easter and Spring! You could make this using any colors! Follow me along on Instagram and let me know if you make this wreath! 🙂
