Be Creative

Getting your little ones to eat their fruits and veggies is not always easy! I find our girls are willing to try new things when they are displayed in a fun way or cut into a cute shape! Muffin tins are a great way to make meal or snack time fun and offer multiple compartments for variety!

Items needed:

Food ideas:

  • Fruit
  • Veggies
  • Crackers
  • Pretzels
  • Cheese
  • Deli meat
  • Mini sandwiches
  • Nuts
  • Raisins
  • Cookies

Food prep:

I used two different size small cookie cutters for the veggies (shown above), fruit and cheese.

I wanted to add a fun twist to the cookies and mixed royal icing with food coloring to create 5 different colors. I made these specifically to look like conversation hearts by using red icing for words, but they would be cute with just the colors for Spring!

Assemble:

Assemble the food into the tray and serve! My daughters loved the variety! I ended up switching out the grapes for strawberries to add more red for Valentines and they are the girl’s favorite!
