Be Creative

When I think of Summer I think of ice cream! There’s nothing better than a cold, creamy ice cream on a hot Summer day! Our Daughter’s love these individual ice cream cups and I love that they provide the perfect serving size! I wanted to make them a fun, Patriotic treat for the 4th of July! I added printable tags to the cups paired with a spoon and tube of sprinkles they could easily pour over their dessert and enjoy!

Free printable tags:

Directions (ice cream cup):

Print tags on cardstock paper and cutout. Laminate the tags and cut out again. It’s very important to laminate them because the ink will run with the condensation from the ice cream lid!

Place a Glue Dot on the back of the tag and press on the middle of the ice cream cup lid.

Directions (sprinkles):

Fill the tubes with sprinkles! These are perfect to attach to spoons and have readily available for your little ones or guest to quickly grab to go with their ice cream!

String your filled tube on your curling ribbon and crisscross the ribbon (form an “x”) on top of the spoon.

Wrap the ribbon around the back of the spoon, bring back to the front and tie a double knot. This step is important as it helps to provide extra stability for the weight of the sprinkle tube versus just tying a quick knot. Curl the ribbon with scissors.

You could display your sprinkle spoons in a fun way (shown above) or simply place them in a small metal bucket!

Free printable sign:

I’ve included two free signs you could print and display by your ice cream station as well!

These were very simple to put together and a quick and fun way to add a little sparkle to a simple ice cream cup for any Patriotic event! Follow me along on Instagram and let me know if you try these!
