Be Creative

Fall is one of my favorite seasons! It’s filled with amazing adventures of going apple picking and to the pumpkin patch! Not to mention the sweet smell of apple and pumpkin pie! My daughter really enjoyed playing with this Apple Pie Sensory Bin so I wanted to recreate a Pumpkin Pie version! The recipe cards help to add an educational element to the bins as well! I’ve included the FREE printables below! d

Materials needed:

Assembly:

Place the letters “PUMKIN” in a diagonal in your tray and fill the letters “PUM” with pimento beans.

Place oats around the “PUM” letters, remove the letter “P” cookie cutter and place it after the “M.” Fill the remaining letters with beans and fill the tray with oats.

Remove all of the cookie cutter letters and place your sensory items in the tray. I premade a mini pumpkin pie using a mini pie pan, felt base, pumpkin seeds, orange pom poms, felt pie crust and a cotton ball. You can find the directions for the felt pie crust and base here. I had the other pie pan ready for my daughter to make!

My daughter really enjoyed using the different recipe cards to create different pies. This is a great counting activity as well! Check out my Instagram for a quick step by step REEL on making this Pumpkin Pie Sensory Bin and let me know if you make one as well! 🙂
