Be Creative

Brach’s Valentine’s Day Conversation Hearts have always been one of my favorites. The cute sayings and adorable colors make these a perfect treat to learn with! I have provided free printables below for your little ones to explore and enjoy color sorting, counting and graphing with these fun, yummy hearts! You could also use pom poms, beads or foam shapes as well!

Materials needed:

Printables

Color Sorting:

Fill a bowl with the candy hearts or any colorful items and have your little one separate the colors.

Graphing:

Fill a bowl with the different color hearts (no more than 10 per color). These Conversation Heart boxes would be perfect to use for this activity with a class!

Once all the hearts are graphed, have your little one count each color and write the number on the “Candy Hearts Total” sheet. These reusable dry erase pockets are great to write and wipe so you can do the activity multiple times!

Counting:

For the counting activity, fill a bowl with hearts and have your little one place the amount of candy shown in each heart on the paper.

I’ve also included a printable of the Conversation Heart banner shown above! You could print and laminate the banner to use for many years!

I hope your littles enjoy these activities! My daughter had a lot of fun playing with and munching on the candy hearts! Follow me along on Instagram for more fun ideas!
